We practiced Trap again last night. It was a beautiful night for it. Matt was super excited as one of the men promised to bring a gun Matt wanted to try.
He did pretty darn well with it too. There is only one station in Trap right now that gets him a little hung up. Must be the angle but he will get there.
This is Barry. He brought a Ruger Red Label for Matt to try. Barry lost his only son to cancer 4 years ago. Now he is here in Rochester as his wife battles the same cancer... I like Barry.
Matt shoot a round of skeet with the big guys. He rocked it too! I was just about to ask Claron when we could start making money off the kid when Barry walked up to tell me that Matt shot a 19. I guess that is pretty good.
Yes, Matt wants a Ruger Red Label now...ha!
Starting out a sport with advice from some of the best must be pretty nice.
This shot is pretty darn tricky and when Matt started he would not even try it. Now he usually hits at least one of the birds if not both.
If you can see this photo big enough you can see that he has a gigantic smile on his face after shooting his 19
one happy kid!
so how this round works is one bird comes from the "high" house on the left.
See the bird coming from the left there.
This round the guys were mixing it up for fun. They had to shoot left handed. Except for Matt of course. He opted to just shoot normal.
He is also officially enrolled on the school Trap team!
