We took a trip to Hastings today to see the Dockdogs competition. This is a contest to see how far dogs can jump out into the water. Matthew thought it was the best thing ever. There were dogs everywhere. This young yellow lab is being trained to jump. They are trying to show her where the dummy is. It was quite funny to see them talk to her like she was a toddler. She just wanted in the water. All Mike and I could think about was our old friend Moose and how he would have smoked the other dogs at this in his day.
Matthew had a ring side seat for all the action.
What is a dog event without puppies for sale. This little guy was about as cute as you could get and already house broke. Made us think... he is a mini Moose after all. Two is plenty for now. He already loved to swim in the pool though!
