Land of 10,000 lakes and you would rather catch fish than swim like one?

I have three posts to do tonight so I hope you don't miss this one.
For years now swimming lessons have eluded us.  Looking back I have several reasons why.  One being that the first lessons we put Matthew in when he was really little(we lived in Montana:-O) were complete torture.  One being that planning anything in the summer seems like a hit or miss.  There are many reasons I guess but the bottom line is that I knew he needed them.
I know it is random but when I heard about that two year old girl falling off the dock when on vacation with her family(rescued by her father) I knew it was time to make sure Matthew had some fish friendly skills.
Today was his first lesson
His lessons are way across town in a shed that this nice lady named Julie teaches semi-private lessons.  The ratio is 1-5.
This is Julie.  I already love her:-) think of all the lives she might save without even knowing it.

  4. Julie, I went over to Monica's one night this week. Matthew really was swimming in the tub! :) What a cute thought. My kids don't do that anymore. We need a big tub like yours, Monica!
