Jackson sent Matthew a live butterfly kit for his birthday in March. Matthew has been pacing the floor for the weather to get nice enough for them to ship the larva. It seemed like every time we would have a few nice days the butterfly factory would be closed for a holiday or mom would forget to call. We finally got them ordered last week. They arrived today. Matthew was beyond excited. They are Painted Lady's in waiting:-)

We got ours last week too! They are fun to watch, I have them on the counter in the kitchen so we can see them all the time, gross but cool! Hopefully you catch them making their pupa! Missy
ReplyDeleteWe did the butterflies last year. I keep meaning to order them again because they were so much fun. It is my theory that the stuff in that jar is made from Snickers bars...you won't believe how quickly those little caterpillars get HUGE! Have fun with it.
